The children in Tullyallen N.S decided it would be a fantastic idea to start a chess club this year. The club is open to children in fourth, fifth and sixth class with training taking place at lunchtime. We have almost 100 chest enthusiasts participating each week.
The committee is led by two fifth class pupils, Finnbar and Ted who have brought some fantastic ideas forward. We also have super coaches training the children who are new to chess. Matthew, Dillon, Adam, Michael, Finnbar and Ted are all taking their role very seriously and doing a great job helping the newcomers.
The children are currently training and we will have some leagues and tournaments over the coming months.
