Thank you for taking a few minutes to do our survey.
Primary School Survey for Parents and Guardians
This survey is for parents and guardians of children in primary school or who will enter primary school in the coming years.
It's quick, easy and confidential.
You will be asked about your preferences for your school on:
- co-education (boys and girls educated in the same school) or single-sex school
- patronage/ethos (a denominational school is a school with a religious patron – the vast majority of primary schools are under Catholic patronage. A multi-denominational school is a school under a non-religious patron, where children learn about all faiths and belief systems through a multi-denominational programme. Examples include Community National Schools in the ETB sector, Educate Together schools and An Foras Pátrúnachta schools)
- language (education through English or education through Irish)
You will need your Eircode to complete the survey. You can search for your Eircode by clicking here.
We will use your Eircode for this survey and for future school planning purposes only. We will not use your Eircode for any other purpose.
If you have any problems doing the survey, please email the Department of Education and Youth at schoolsurvey@education.gov.ie.
