The Tullyallen School Community recently gathered to celebrate a moving farewell Mass for Mr. Brendan Winters. After 13 wonderful years with us, Mr. Winters has been appointed Principal of Dromin National School.
The Mass was a heartfelt celebration of his enormous contribution to Tullyallen National School, highlighting his caring and passionate work as a teacher and as Assistant Principal.
Fr. Dooley celebrated the Mass, with members of our staff and pupils participating. The school choir, ably assisted by Ms. Eileen and Mr. Moonan, provided beautiful music.
It was a memorable occasion that included the presentation of a Tullyallen NS Candle, reminding Mr. Winters that he will always be a guiding light. Mr. Moonan also read a special poem symbolising Mr. Winters' exciting new chapter.
Many thanks to Fr. Dooley and to Sandra, our sacristan, for helping us celebrate this special moment. We are also grateful to Ms. Eileen and Mr. Moonan, our RE Coordinator, for organizing this beautiful Mass, and to our entire school community for making this a truly memorable occasion for Mr. Winters.
A farewell staff dinner for Mr. Winters was organised by Ms. Eileen and the school's social committee. The evening was highlighted by touching speeches from both Ms. Eileen and Mr. Winters. Following the speeches, Ms. Eileen and the Board of Management presented gifts to Mr. Winters.
We wish Mr. Winters all the best.
