This year, we held our 9th annual cross country event in Tullyallen National School. The event has grown bigger and better every year with 23 local schools participating in this years championships.
This year, St. Marys Parish Primary School took top honours, taking home the perpetual shield once again. Tullyallen N.S followed closely behind in second place.
We had some fantastic running throughout the day with several of our teams and individuals taking medals home.
A special mention to Caoimhe who competed in the 6th class category and cruised to an easy victory, making it the third year in a row she has taken home the gold medal. Conor, Ella, Max and Cathryn also took home individual medals on the day after some very competitive running.
A special thank you to all the schools for supporting us once again in the race this year, to all of our hard working volunteers on the day and to our sponsors who help make the day possible.
We look forward to keeping the tradition going in Tullyallen National School next year as we host our tenth year anniversary. Watch this space!!
