Tullyallen N.S. Bids Fond Farewell to Beloved SNA, Mary, After 15 Years of Service
Tullyallen N.S. recently gathered as a community to celebrate and bid a heartfelt farewell to SNA Mary, who is retiring at the end of this school year after 15 incredible years of dedicated service. The celebration was a beautiful testament to Mary's impact on the school community, including former members of staff who returned for the occasion.
The day began with a joyful and moving Mass in the Church, celebrated by Fr. Dooley and meticulously organised by Ms. Eileen and the school's RE Team. The angelic music, provided by the school choir conducted by Mr. Morgan, with Ms. Eileen on violin and Mr. Moonan on organ, added a special touch to the ceremony. Members of the school community actively participated, with symbols presented, SNA Fidelma proclaiming the First Reading, and Sixth Class children leading the Prayer of the Faithful. Mary's family participated in the offertory procession, and Mr. Moonan offered a touching Post Communion Reflection.
Following the Mass, an afternoon tea, lovingly organised by staff, was held in the school hall. This provided an opportunity for presentations to Mary on behalf of the Board, SNAs, and Staff, acknowledging her invaluable contributions. Speeches were given by Ms. Eileen and Mary herself, filled with reflections and gratitude. It was particularly special for Mary's family and former colleagues to join in this significant celebration.
The entire Tullyallen N.S. community extends its deepest gratitude to Mary for her unwavering dedication and commitment over the past 15 years. We wish her a truly wonderful and well-deserved retirement.
